UPSC 2017 Results: CDS (II) Written Exam 2017 Results Announced

Highlights:

The much revered Union Public Service Commission has recently announced the results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) written examination that was conducted in November 2017. The total number of candidates selected is 8692. These candidates will be required to attend the interview round of selection. The selection has been made by the SSB (Service Selection Board) that performs under the Defence Ministry.

The courses that are open for admission include:

  1. Indian Naval Academy, Kerala
  2. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
  3. Officers Training Academy, Chennai
  4. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad

The courses for the Military and Naval academy will commence from July, 2018. The Air Force Academy training course will commence from August 2018. The Officer’s Training Academy in Chennai hosts two courses: 108th SSC Course (NT, for Men) and the 22nd SSC Women (Non-Technical). Both these courses are scheduled to commence from October, 2018.

Check the CDS (II) Exam 2017 Results Online

You can check your results online, by following these simple steps:

  1. Go to the UPSC official website, i.e. upsc.gov.in.
  2. Go to the What’s New
  3. Click on the link “Written Result: CDS (II) Examination
  4. When the new window appears, click on the result pdf.
  5. Once the pdf opens, you need to scroll and check for your roll number in the list of selected candidates.

The candidates who have cleared the written exam will have to register for the interview on the recruiting website of the Indian Army at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. This has to be done by 14th January, 2018.

The candidates will be allotted their respective centres and dates for the SSB interview. This information will be communicated with them via their registered e-mail ID.
