Delhi University To Launch Course In Cyber Security ‘Shortly'

With the growing IT sector, where information is money, we as a booming economy need people with the expertise to secure valuable information, from investment banks to government institutions everyone wants to secure an upper hand in cyber security.

Understanding this lack of infrastructure in the area of cyber security in our country, Delhi University, which happens to be one of India’s most prestigious academic institutions is very soon going to launch a year long course in cyber security, after they confirmed receiving necessary approvals from concerned statutory bodies on Monday.

An official statement from the university stated, ”The University of Delhi with approval of statutory bodies is shortly launching one year post-graduate diploma in Cyber Security and Law. This programme caters to the niche domain of cyber security with a unique combination of cyber laws.”

This course is a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Law and is likely to begin in February of next year, and the scheduled 15 weeks of the first semester of this course will be starting from March 2018.

The course will consist of two semesters and will have six assigned papers in both of them respectively, covering a range of subjects from basic fundamentals to Cryptography to Cyber Laws and Forensics.
