2018 Registrations to begin: JEE Main

JEE Main which is Joint Entrance Examination is a pen-paper mode offline based test. It is to held on April 8, 2018. Candidates will be registered online from December 1.

About JEE Main : What it is all about

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted to offer admissions to interested candidates in undergraduate engineering programmes. The examination centres include NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) located across the country. 

Eligibility criteria :

  1. Those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1993 will be eligible to appear for the exam.
  2. Candidates who passed Class 12th examination in 2015 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2019 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2018
  3. There must be five subjects with the candidates in the 12th class examination, then only he/she will be eligible for the exam.
  4. The candidates are offered only three attempts.

Selection procedure for admission to IIT:

All those candidates who have successfully cleared the JEE (Mains) will be allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced exam round. Students will be allotted colleges on the basis of these two written exams.
