Technology-Based Program Launched to Enhance English Proficiency in Govt Schools
India’s first technology-based program has been launched to enhance the English proficiency of the schools. GoLearn is the first Artificial Intelligence program powered by the English Language teaching and learning (ELTL). The covid pandemic has caused a huge disruption in the field of educational systems. This was the reason to launch a new platform for the students.
According to the United Nations, it has affected nearly 1.6 billion learners in more than 190 countries across all the continents. The lockdown and the closure of schools have impacted 94% of the world’s student population. And it has also been noted that up to 99% of low and lower-middle-income countries were also affected. The global shortage of English-qualified teachers makes it a “global learning crisis”. The demand for English teachers is also growing from time to time.
To solve this issue, GoLearn, India’s first English Language Teaching, and Learning platform was created. This aligns with the IGCSE, IB, CBSE, ICSE, and State Board curricula, CEFR and PISA standards, and the Indian national educational Policy (NEP) 2020. This platform is directed by using Advanced artificial intelligence and evidenced pedagogies. It also has been underpinned by Bloom’s and SOLO taxonomies thereby, ensuring high-quality and skills-based education. Thus, it becomes an accessible and convenient platform for all students across India.
