History textbooks being changed for due to political reasons

Parliamentary Standing Committee  and  over 100 of Histriographer  has countersign a letter for expressing concern over proposed changes to National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) history textbooks and  also protest to claim that the books contained “unhistorical facts and distortions”.

A statement by Maya John of Delhi University, one of the signatories, said the historians submitted their response to the panel on July 15.

The panel has sought the submission in regards of  “removing references to unhistorical facts and misinterpretation about our national heroes from textbooks, ensuring Qutation refering to all periods of Indian history, and cluminate the role of great historic women heroes”.

“ Numerous of  objections showned with the widely circulating allegations that the NCERT school history textbooks carry ‘doubtful facts and misinterpretation ’,” the statement read.
